Flat Stanley loved swimming in the pool at Uncle Art and Aunt
Linda's Black Diamond home.
Like the Thomas family, Flat Stanley loves going to the beach to
kayak, smash through the waves, watch sunsets and look for seashells. Flat Stanley is sending us one of his favorite
shells he found this year.
AND some of the best times at the beach are the football
games--Green & White vs. Maze & Blue.
"Green & White prevails," says Uncle Art.
Flat Stanley visited the Alpaca Farm. Flat Stanley petted, kissed, fed and
walked the alpacas. Alpaca fleece is
shorn, spun into yarn for knitting, crocheting and weaving. Alpacas are shy and you approach them slowly
not to scare them. They are very
curious.
Flat Stanley has sent everyone in the class a souvenir alpaca knit finger puppets and he also sent
a warm winter scarf for the teacher Ms. Hawkinson. Alpaca yarn in warmer than wool!
Flat Stanley visited the Homosassa Butterfly Museum. Flat Stanley saw many caterpillars & butterflies.Flat Stanley is sending the class-special mail-a Monarch caterpillar so they can see a
Monarch butterfly hatch.
At the Homosassa Wildlife Park, Flat Stanley saw lots of Florida
wildlife-birds and animals but the special residents there are the
manatees-sea cows. The alligators were
huge! People even snorkel with the Manatee!
